Because we like to have fun and learn about beer just as much as you do, the Iowa Brewers Guild organizes a number of special events throughout the year. These events include the Iowa Craft Brew Festival, Festival of Iowa Beers, Tour de Tanks, and i-Best.

The Iowa Brewers Guild's 7th annual Iowa Craft Brew Festival will be held on Saturday, June 17, from 1-5 p.m. in the 200 block of East 3rd Street in downtown Des Moines.
One of the flagship events of Des Moines Beer Week, this year's fest will feature over 50 Iowa breweries, along with a host of regional and national craft breweries. Participating breweries will be pouring unlimited beer tastes of approximately 300 beers, including a variety of limited release brews.
In addition to an array of outstanding beers, the ICBF will feature food from Ceviche Bar, Iowa Taproom, Melts without Borders, Over the Top, and Forefathers Bacon; and, for goodness sakes--we'll even have an app for you to download soon (stay tuned)!
A limited number of VIP pass holders get exclusive early access into the festival to beat the crowds from 1-2 p.m., as well as a special tasting glass. General admission ticket holders can enter the festival grounds at 2 p.m. Designated driver tickets are available for $5.
This event will sell out—no day-of tickets will be available.

The Iowa Craft Brew Festival is brought to you by the following: Iowa Taproom, Iowa Wine and Beer Promotion Board, Davis Brown Law, Edwards Graphic Arts, Iowa Public Radio, Hub City Mobile, Doll Distributing, and Lazer 103.3. If you have the opportunity, please thank and support them for their commitment to the Iowa brewing industry.
The Festival of Iowa Beers is the state's longest running beer festival held each year on the Sunday before Labor Day at Millstream Brewing Company in Amana. Debuting in 2005 with 300 attendees sampling beers from eight Iowa breweries, today, FoIB attendance is capped at 1,200 while featuring over 30 Iowa breweries.
The fest runs from 1-5 pm on Sunday, Sept. 3. Admission includes a souvenir glass and unlimited beer samples. Food and live music will be provided.
Tickets ($25 in advance and $30 day-of) are available at Millstream's tasting room or online here.
This event is for 21+ only and all tickets are non-refundable.
A daylong education and outreach conference for IBG members as well as the general public, i-BEST (Iowa Brewers Education Seminar and Tippling) is packed with useful brewing and beer business information. The 2017 conference will be hosted by Worth Brewing Company in Northwood, Iowa on Nov. 4.
I-BEST has something for everyone. For those already in the craft brewing industry, content addresses issues on technical brewing as well as business and marketing. Homebrewers looking to improve their skills will find helpful information, and those planning a brewery or looking to transition into the industry will also benefit. Breakout sessions allow attendees to chose between seminars on the business/marketing side of the industry or technical brewing.
Along with seminars on brewery insurance, maintenance, content marketing, photography, and more, the 2017 closing keynote address will be delivered by Rebecca Newman of Summit Brewing Company.
In addition to a full day of beer and brewing education, i-BEST includes morning refreshments, lunch, networking with IBG Allied trade members & sponsors, and tippling.
Interested in becoming an i-BEST sponsor? Click here for more information, and contact J. Wilson at firstname.lastname@example.org.
In conjunction with American Craft Beer Week, over 50 IBG member breweries open their doors to beer lovers for a daylong series of free VIP tours of their facilities on May 20.
Join us for a backstage pass into the brewing process--complete with samples of beer mid- and post-production. Tour de Tanks offers a special opportunity to learn from the brewers who are making the Iowa brewing scene so exciting, so plan your day well (and recruit a designated driver) so that you can tour the fermentation tanks of multiple Iowa breweries in one flavor-filled day!
Tours will take place between the hours of 11 a.m. and 5 p.m., with each brewery setting its own schedule and tour size limit.
Stay tuned for the complete list of 2017's participating breweries!
